Created as an additional resource for potential Ronald McDonald House families, our Happy Wheels wagon brings special deliveries to families and children at Cox South Hospital and Mercy Kids Hospital who could benefit from our Houses. All too often, we find that families with children in the hospital could really use our services but don’t know we’re available. Happy Wheels allows us to visit with families and bring our mission directly to them.
Our staff and volunteers use our very own little red “Happy Wheels” wagons to deliver care bags specific to parents and kids along with information about how they can benefit from our “home away from home” as day guests or for overnight stays. These care bags usually have basic necessity items and fun activities that bring smiles to parents and kids when they need them the most.
You can contribute to this program by donating items on our Wish List that will be provided in the care bags. Items can be dropped off at either the House near Cox South or the House inside Mercy Kids.
